Ways to Donate
Your tax deductible donation will help support our ongoing programs and athletes.
Secure on-line credit card donations.
Click DONATE NOW and you will be taken directly to the CanadaHelps website. Canada Helps will process your credit card donation and send it to AASRA within 7 working days.
You will instantly receive a charitable tax receipt. Please note: Canada Helps takes 3.9% of your donation as an administrative fee.
Cheque.
If on-line giving is not your preferred method of donating, you can give in the traditional way. Personal cheques are always accepted and should be made out to Alberta Amputee Sports & Recreation Association or AASRA. You will receive your charitable tax receipt in the mail within 14 days of making the donation.
PLEASE NOTE: Donors making a gift of $25.00 or more will be issued a charitable donation tax receipt within two weeks of your donation.

Gifts of Shares and Securities
This is a popular method of donating for some donors who wish to benefit from a significant tax savings. This method of giving can eliminate capital gains tax. For these types of gifts, AASRA issues the donor a tax receipt for the fair market value of the securities on the day they are traded.
Life Insurance
Donate a "paid" policy and receive a tax receipt for the cash surrender value. Name AASRA as the owner and beneficiary of a new policy and receive tax receipts for every premium you pay.
Honor/Memorial
By making an honor or memorial donation. Honor donations can be anything from recognizing someone's retirement, to a donation in lieu of a birthday gift.You can donate property today and continue to use it for a lifetime, while reducing your income taxes. If the donation is a principal residence, no capital gains are triggered. Consult your financial planner for more details on this method of giving.

If you have an item you would like to donate, please call us to discuss whether it would be an item that we are able to accept and have a meaningful use for.
Bequests
You may wish to leave a lasting legacy by naming us in your will.
