Peer Support
Since its inception, AASRA has provided Peer Support to any and all amputees in Alberta.
Our Peer support program has been constantly improving through our training program to provide trained Peer Support persons to assist new and older amputees. We strive to provide support services for those who might need a lending hand or just a shoulder to lean on, so that no amputee in Alberta feels alone, and that amputees are empowered to both receive help and give back when and if they feel ready to, but never obligated to do so.
AASRA holds Peer Support meetings in Calgary and Edmonton monthly as well as one on one support when requested.

Calgary Meetings
Meeting locations in Calgary are at Carewest Glenmore Park, 6909 14 Street SW, from 7-8 PM and at the Peter Lougheed Hospital from 3-4 PM. Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month.

Edmonton Meetings
Shane Williams leads the support group meetings in Edmonton. They take place on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Glenrose Hospital, Room 2177.
